1: Cactus Print Button Up Shirt | Zara
I found this top on sale for $13 at the end of July. The oversized fit and bright cactus details jazz up this otherwise basic striped top. The top was super versatile too. I paired it with chinos and flats for work. Then for Sunday brunch with Adam's manager, I paired it with skinny jeans and heeled sandals.
2: Drawstring Pants - Nude Pink | Zara
I had been on the hunt for pants like these in my price range since my last trip to Aritzia. While visiting Washington, D.C., I stumbled upon these in the Zara sale. I instantly fell in love with the color and how comfortable they are. I've worn them to work with plain tops and cardigans and out to drinks with a fitted crop top. I even went back and bought them in a navy polka dot pattern!
3: Urban Decay Optical Illusion Complexion Primer
This product had been sitting on my makeup table going unused for the majority of the summer. I gave it a go while I was in Pittsburgh at the end of June but didn't use it much once returning to Seattle. As the summer progressed and I realized the heat (and accompanying sweat) weren't going anywhere, I started using this primer again. My makeup definitely lasted a lot longer when using this as a base. Plus, it made my skin feel super smooth and my foundation glide on easily. Not to mention, my pores appeared visibly smaller!
4: St. Ives Apricot Scrub
I ran out of my previous exfoliator at the beginning of the month. During my next trip to Target, I grabbed this because it was cheap and apricot sounded nice. This scrub definitely isn't for daily use, given the abrasive exfoliators. I've been using it every other to every third day, and it leaves my face feeling smooth and skin clear for the days in between.
5: Glossier Cloud Paint - Beam
This may have been the only blush I wore throughout the month of August. The color was buildable and lasted the majority of the day. It blended super easily and gave a flush of color when I didn't feel like wearing much makeup. The peachy hue was very approachable and perfect for a basic workday look. Also, just look at the attractive packaging!
6: Neutrogena Rapid Clear Treatment Pads
Over the past couple months, I've been having some skin trouble on my back and shoulders. Definitely not what I wanted to deal with during the last days of summer. I found these treatment pads tucked away in the medicine cabinet and remembered how well they worked when I first got them. A quick swipe across my problem areas after showering or before bed left my skin noticeably less broken out within 12-24 hours.
