Fall is easily my favorite season. With pumpkins, Halloween, changing leaves, and sweater weather, what's not to love! Unfortunately, in Seattle, it's easy to miss out on a lot of things I loved about fall in West Virginia. One thing that I still get to experience is ankle boots! Once the cooler, misty days begin you'll catch my wearing ankle boots almost everywhere.
In this post, I'll show you how I would wear ankle boots for three different occasions. Each outfit will feature my favorite and most versatile pair of heeled ankle boots. They're by Jeffrey Campbell, and I've had them for a few years now.
Casual Work Day
Oversized Cardigan | Goodwill
Turtleneck Sweater | Goodwill
Leopard Belt | Target
High-waisted Jeans | H&M
One of my favorite things about my new job is the casual dress code and being able to wear essentially whatever I want every day. This is something I would typically wear when I want to step it up from a basic jeans and t-shirt combo. I found this green cardigan at Goodwill around this time last year and love how oversized, comfy, and warm it is. The lightweight turtleneck was another Goodwill find from last weekend - it was only $3! I decided to jazz up the look and add a little fun with a leopard print belt.
Happy Hour with Friends
Grey Sweater | Zara
Black Skirt | Topshop @ Nordstrom
Polka Dot Socks | American Apparel
Necklace | Etsy
I tend to overdress when meeting up for casual drinks with friends. That's why I normally opt for dark, neutral colors. This sweater from Zara is super comfy and paired easily with a half tuck into a faux leather skirt. Again, I wanted to add something fun, so I went with these sheer polka dot socks from American Apparel.
Date Night
Dress | Crossroads Trading Company
Leather Jacket | Urban Outfitters
This look is the clearly the dressiest of the three. I would wear this out on a nicer date night with the boyfriend. The dress is by MinkPink but was a thrifted find from Crossroads Trading. I love how stretchy and comfortable the dress is - plus the side cutouts are a cool detail. Since the dress is sleeveless, I opted to throw on a leather jacket over the top. Depending on the plans and if we'll be popping in and out of different bars/restaurants, I like to just drape the jacket around my shoulders for a more laidback feel.
